The Pedaler’s Jamboree Iowa is a new Bicycle/Music Festival
which will take place in Iowa on Labor Day Weekend. The event
includes a gear transported bicycle tour throughout the entire
loop of the Raccoon River Valley Trail. Bicyclists depart from
Waukee on the morning of Saturday, September 5th. They will
ride the across the trail and stop in each of the towns along the
way to listen to live music and eat and drink and celebrate!
When they finally reach the town of Jefferson there will be a
large festival with a full sized festival stage set up downtown with
music, beer gardens, and vendors. Camping will be available for
riders at the fairgrounds down the streets. The following day riders will return to the trail and
stop at each community on their way back to Waukee with live music throughout the ride.
The Pedaler’s Jamboree Iowa is based off the popular Pedaler’s Jamboree ride in Missouri.
That ride has been an annual event with nearly 3,000 riders in its 7th year. The event has
featured great bands such as Pokey LaFarge, William Elliott Whitemore, Southern Culture on
the Skids, Ozark Mt Daredevils, Split Lip, Dirtfoot, Ben Miller Band, Big Smith and a bunch of
other great bands through the years.
We are beginning to book musical acts for the 2015 Pedaler's Jamboree in Iowa with will
happen on September 5th and 6th. We are expecting a big crowd for the first year of the event
and estimating 2,000+ riders will be in attendance.
